The Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities is conducting a three-yearly information gathering exercise to inform its next report on the functioning of the EU Securitisation Regulation. The consultation is “informal and targeted”, and feedback is sought using the form available here (which includes submission instructions) no later than 30 January 2024. Let Peter know if you would like to contribute to a CREFC Europe response (but equally feel free to respond directly).
The BCBS has published a consultative document on banks’ disclosure of climate-related financial risks (open for comment until 29 February 2024), which includes a proposed template for the disclosure of real estate exposures in the mortgage portfolio by energy efficiency level. Please drop Peter a line if this is something your firm is considering and has views about.
The Bank of England has published its latest update on its data transformation project (where CRE data is one of the phase two “use cases” being taken forward), here.
Anyone who missed last week’s Scope webinar (also featuring Peter Cosmetatos) on credit and regulatory aspects of the European CRE loan and CMBS markets can watch the replay here.
