Women's Network - Olive Oil Tasting
Join us for a tasting with Sarah Vachon, an olive oil sommelier
Wednesday 24 January 17:30 - 19:15
Reed Smith - 20 Primrose Street, London, EC2A 2RS
Dive into the world of extra virgin olive oil and learn all about this ancient superfood. Together, we'll do a guided tasting to learn exactly how it's made, how to taste it properly, and what to look out for to ensure you're buying the right quality. We'll also discuss the supply chain issues with olive oil and why it's important to champion small-batch female farmers in the space.
Citizens of Soil is turning a commodity into a community through fresh and flavourful extra virgin olive oils that represent the people and places they come from. We source award-winning oils from female producers across the Mediterranean who practise regenerative farming. This is packaged in chic reusable bottles with refill pouches as a part of our circular subscription to minimise waste. We're also a 1% for the Planet member, committing at least 1% of our sales to soil health charities. We work with Michelin-starred chefs and have been featured in the likes of BBC Good Food, Stylist, Refinery29, and the Evening Standard. Find us at Selfridges, online, or at fine food independent retailers across the UK.
Sarah Vachon is an olive oil sommelier and founder of Citizens of Soil, soon-to-be the UK's favourite olive oil brand. Her background is in food & drink as well as sustainability. She brings exceptional olive oils to the table from women who farm regeneratively.
