In 2021, we constituted an Irish Forum (originally a committee but since renamed) with domestic and international banks, non-bank lenders, real estate investors and advisory businesses participating.
The Forum is chaired by Paul McDonnell (who has non-executive roles at Brookland and CBRE), supported by Ciara Buckley (Arthur Cox), Henry Cleary (Barclays), Mairead O'Sullivan (SitusAMC), Derek Preston (Wells Fargo) and Rob Murphy. A first in person meeting was held in spring 2023 at College Green, and a second meeting was hosted by AIB in autumn 2023. Barclays hosted an April 2024 meeting, and William Fry hosted the autumn 2024 meeting (and an associated seminar).
In a sign that there is scope for CREFC Europe to do more in Ireland, an Irish Forum / Women's Network "joint venture" organised a very well-received site tour of College Square and networking drinks in September 2024 (LinkedIn post here). We are also exploring the scope and appetite for an Irish 'chapter' of our network for young professionals, YPREF.
We maintain a collaborative relationship with Irish Institutional Property as we develop our presence in the Irish market.
